Welcome to The Pet Wash Calabasas! To provide the best care and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for both pets and staff, we ask that all clients review and comply with the following policies:
🐶 Appointment Policies
1. Scheduling & Arrival

Clients are encouraged to arrive on time or a few minutes early.

Late arrivals (10+ minutes) may be rescheduled or incur a late fee.

Walk-ins are accepted based on availability.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

No-shows or late cancellations may be charged a fee or require prepayment for future appointments.
3. Pickup Times

A late pickup fee of $20 will apply for pets picked up after 4:00 PM, and an additional $20 will be charged for every 30-minute increment thereafter.
🐕 Pet Health & Safety
4. Vaccinations

All dogs must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccinations.

Proof of vaccinations must be provided upon request.
5. Flea & Tick Policy

Pets with active fleas or ticks will be given a flea bath at the owner's expense.

If an infestation is discovered, grooming may be stopped to avoid contamination, and the pet must be picked up immediately.
6. Health Conditions & Behavior

Inform staff of any medical conditions, sensitivities, or behavioral issues.

We reserve the right to refuse service to aggressive or overly stressed pets.
7. Illness Policy (Including Diarrhea)

If your dog is exhibiting signs of illness such as vomiting, coughing, excessive lethargy, or diarrhea, please do not bring them in for grooming.

Dogs with diarrhea will not be groomed and must be picked up immediately.

If diarrhea is observed during the grooming process, services may be paused. The pet will be cleaned and kept comfortable until pickup.

A cleaning and sanitation fee of $20 will be charged.
8. Senior or Special Needs Pets

Extra care is given to senior and special needs pets; however, owners accept that grooming may be modified or paused based on the pet’s tolerance and safety.

9. Style Requests

We do our best to meet grooming style preferences; however, some styles may not be possible based on coat condition, matting, or pet behavior.
10. Matted Coat Release

Severely matted pets may require shaving to prevent pain or injury.

We are not liable for any skin irritation, cuts, or stress resulting from dematting or shaving procedures.
11. Nail Trims & Ear Cleaning

Standard grooming includes nail trimming and ear cleaning unless otherwise specified.

Please inform us if your pet has sensitivities in these areas.

12. Injury & Emergencies

While rare, minor nicks, scratches, or stress reactions can occur.

In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact the owner immediately. If unreachable, we reserve the right to seek emergency care at the owner’s expense.
13. Photography & Social Media

We may photograph your pet for promotional or social media use. Please let us know if you prefer your pet not be photographed.
14. Waivers & Consent

By leaving your pet in our care, you agree to these policies and give consent for grooming services as discussed.

15. Pricing

Prices are based on size, breed, coat condition, and behavior.

Extra charges may apply for matting, excessive undercoat, or difficult behavior.
16. Payment Methods

We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and contactless payments.

Payment is due upon pickup unless prior arrangements are made.
